Privacy policy

QS Precision (qsprecision.com) is quantity takeoff software for construction drawings. This page says what we keep about you, where, and why. In short: your drawings and takeoffs are yours, they are kept for you to use, and we do not sell them, show them to anyone or use them to train AI.

Signing in

You sign in with Google. From your Google account we receive only your name, email address and profile picture (the openid email profile permissions). We use them to know who you are, to show you your own projects and nothing else, and to contact you about your account. We never see your Google password and get no access to your Gmail, Drive or anything else in your Google account.

What we keep

• Your projects: items, measurements, scales, folders, notes and the rest of each takeoff, so it is the same on every device you sign in on.
• Your drawings: the PDF of each project, unless you turn off “Keep drawings on my account”; a picture and the text of each sheet you open, and the lines read from it, so an AI assistant you connect can see the drawing and so sheets open faster.
• Your rate book and templates, if you make them.
• A sign-in cookie, which keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no outside analytics service.

Your browser also keeps a copy of your projects and drawings (IndexedDB), so the app works offline. That copy stays on your computer.

The free compare tool

The compare tool (qsprecision.com/compare) runs entirely in your browser. The two PDFs you compare are never uploaded; they are kept in your browser only, so a reload finds them again. A PDF report you export is made in your browser too.

Nothing from the tool is uploaded unless you press Share link, which needs you to sign in. Then we keep pictures of the comparison (the two pages overlaid, and each page with its changes in colour), the list of words that changed, the two file names and page titles, and which account made it. Never the PDFs themselves. Anyone with the link can see them, without signing in. A share link is kept until you delete it: it is gone at once when you press Delete link.

What we count

To learn which parts of the site are used and where they fail, we count a few events ourselves: for example that the compare tool was opened, that a comparison ran and how long it took, that a report was exported or a link shared, that a sign-in button was pressed, and that a new account was made. Each count holds the event’s name, a few plain facts about it (such as the page’s language, a range of page counts or drawing sizes, or whether the visit came from a search engine or a shared link), the page’s address, the name of the website that sent you there (never the page), and a random number made for one browser tab, which is forgotten when the tab closes.

It holds no cookie, no IP address, no name, email or account, nothing from your drawings, and no file names. It is not shared with anyone, nor used for advertising: only to improve the product. Counts are deleted after 13 months. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is counted.

AI assistants

You can connect an AI assistant (such as Claude) to your account through our MCP server. Only you can do that, by signing in; the assistant then sees your projects and drawings and can change your takeoffs, as you ask it to. What it does with what it sees is governed by that assistant’s own provider and terms. You can disconnect it at any time from the assistant. Your rate book and priced bill are never given to an assistant.

Where it is kept

On Cloudflare (hosting, database and file storage). Data may be processed in any country where Cloudflare runs. Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). We do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone, except Cloudflare as our host and where the law requires it.

Your choices

• Delete a project, and its drawing and sheet pictures go with it.
• Delete a compare share link whenever you like; it is kept until you do.
• Turn off “Keep drawings on my account” to keep PDFs on your computer only.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete your account and everything in it, at nguyenquang.btr@gmail.com. We do it within 30 days.

Use of Google user data

QS Precision’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes and contact
